Doku Renews Contract with Rennes, adds 70 million € Release Clause.

Rennes Football Club has announced that it has renewed its contract with Doku, the Ghanaian midfielder who plays for the club in the French Ligue 1.

The contract extension will see Doku remain at Rennes until June 2025 and he will be paid an annual salary of 4 million euros.

In addition to his financial rewards, Doku will also have the option to leave the club on a free transfer after next season if he chooses to do so.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian has been a key player for Rennes over the past few seasons, helping the team win promotion to the top flight of French football last year.

He has made more than 100 appearances for Rennes since joining from Al Ahly in 2018, scoring 16 goals and providing 19 assists in all competitions.

Rennes' decision to extend Doku's contract is seen as a confidence boost for the club ahead of the upcoming season, which will see them compete in both the French league and the Europa League.

It is hoped that Doku's continued presence at the club will help to further strengthen their position in the top flight of French football and give them a strong chance of achieving their long-term goals.

Overall, this news is good news for Rennes fans, who can look forward to seeing Doku continue to play a vital role in the team's success over the coming years.
