Lyon striker Anthony Camavinga's younger brother, Antoine Camavinga, made his professional debut for Lyon's youth side on Saturday in the Ligue 1 match against Rennes.
The 17-year-old was called up to replace injured forward Kevin Truffaut in the starting lineup and played 90 minutes, making him the youngest player to debut for Lyon since midfielder Lucas Digne did so in 2018.
Antoine Camavinga had been training with the senior team since he was just seven years old and has shown promise from the outset. He scored twice in his first two appearances for the club's reserves, including one hat-trick in a friendly game against Lorient.
Lyon coach Didier Deschamps praised his young protégé, saying: "Antoine is a natural talent and we're excited to see what he can do in the future."
The move to make Antoine Camavinga available for the start of the season came after Kevin Truffaut was forced to withdraw due to injury. It will be interesting to see how the teenager adapts to the demands of professional football at such a young age.
