Arsenal secured their second-place finish in the Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Brighton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners started brightly and created numerous chances throughout the first half, but it was not until the 75th minute that they finally broke through. Bukayo Saka made a superb run down the left flank and crossed for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to head home from close range.
The goal gave Arsenal some much-needed breathing space as they looked set to secure second spot with ease, but Brighton fought back in the second half and were rewarded with a late equalizer through Ben White's header.
However, Arsenal held firm and secured all three points thanks to a strong defensive display and some excellent finishing from Aubameyang and Saka.
With the win, Arsenal now have a comfortable lead over Manchester United and Chelsea in third and fourth places respectively, giving them a good chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Overall, it was another solid performance from Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, who has been praised for his tactical acumen and ability to get the best out of his players. The team will be looking to build on this result as they look to secure their place in Europe's elite competition next season.
