Liverpool have secured their fourth Premier League win in seven games as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds, who had lost to Manchester United and Chelsea in their previous two matches, were looking for a positive result against Spurs after the disappointment of their defeat at home to Arsenal last weekend.
But it was Liverpool who took control early on, with Sadio Mane opening the scoring just six minutes into the game with a well-placed header from Roberto Firmino's cross.
Spurs responded quickly, though, as Harry Kane equalised for them shortly before half-time with a superbly taken free-kick that flew into the top corner.
However, Liverpool refused to give up and they continued to dominate possession throughout the second half, with Mohamed Salah finally finding the back of the net late on to secure all three points for his side.
The goal was Salah's first since he returned from injury earlier this month and it proved to be the winner as Liverpool ran out 2-1 winners.
It was a much-needed victory for Jurgen Klopp's men, who have now won four of their last five league matches and are currently sitting in third place in the table behind Manchester City and Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Tottenham remain in sixth place, but their loss will surely have left them feeling disappointed given their recent form.
Overall, it was another impressive display from Liverpool as they continue to show why they are one of the best teams in the world right now.
